Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as a key member of the leadership team, acting as a trusted advisor to the Board and senior management on all legal, regulatory, and strategic matters
  • Define and lead the company's overall legal strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives, risk appetite, and long-term growth plans
  • Provide commercially driven legal counsel on complex transactions, partnerships, and business initiatives
  • Oversee and strengthen the corporate governance and compliance framework, ensuring adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and best practices
  • Partner closely with business leaders to drive operational excellence, embedding legal and compliance considerations into core decision-making
  • Provide strategic oversight on labour and employment matters, including workforce strategy, industrial relations, and high-risk issues
  • Lead the identification and mitigation of enterprise-wide legal and regulatory risks, ensuring proactive rather than reactive management
  • Direct all dispute resolution and crisis management, including litigation, arbitration, and high-stakes negotiations
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with regulators, government bodies, and external counsel, ensuring effective representation of the company's interests
  • Develop, implement, and continuously enhance policies, frameworks, and internal controls to strengthen legal oversight and governance
  • Support strategic corporate initiatives, including expansion, investments, and transformation programs

The Successful Applicant

Key Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (advanced qualification preferred)
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in legal, ideally within regulated or operationally complex industries
  • Strong strategic mindset, with proven ability to act as a business partner
  • Solid commercial acumen and understanding of business operations
  • Experience in driving operational excellence and compliance frameworks
  • Good working knowledge of Indonesian labour law
  • Strong track record in dispute resolution and legal risk management
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills
  • Comfortable to work within a lean organization
