Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesGovernment & Regulatory Affairs

  • Develop and maintain relationships with national, provincial, and local government stakeholders.
  • Support permitting, licensing, and regulatory compliance processes.
  • Monitor policy and regulatory developments affecting mining operations and investments.
  • Coordinate with relevant authorities to facilitate project approvals and issue resolution.



Stakeholder & Community Relations

  • Build constructive relationships with local communities, traditional leaders, and key influencers.
  • Identify and mitigate social, political, and reputational risks.
  • Support community engagement, conflict resolution, and social investment initiatives.
  • Represent the company in external meetings and stakeholder consultations.



Business Development & Investment Support

  • Support evaluation of new mining investment and acquisition opportunities.
  • Conduct stakeholder mapping and assess external risks for prospective projects.
  • Assist in land access, land acquisition, and local engagement activities where required.
  • Provide intelligence and insights on regional developments and emerging opportunities.



Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Establish stakeholder management frameworks, SOPs, and reporting systems.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to management on external affairs and stakeholder matters.
  • Collaborate closely with technical, geological, legal, and investment teams.
  • Operate effectively as an individual contributor while supporting future business expansion.

The Successful Applicant

Key Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in External Affairs, Government Relations, Community Relations, or Stakeholder Engagement within the mining sector.
  • Proven experience supporting mining projects and stakeholders in Aceh.
  • Strong network across government, regulatory, community, and mining industry stakeholders.
  • Experience handling permitting, licensing, land-related matters, and community issues.
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and conflict-resolution capabilities.
  • Highly professional, discreet, and able to work with confidential information.
  • Entrepreneurial, hands-on, and comfortable building systems in a growing organization.
  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Willingness to travel and engage directly with stakeholders in the field.
