Job Description

As an External Affairs Director, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the development and implementation of government relations strategies to align with business goals.
  • Fostering and maintaining relationships with government agencies, industry associations, and other external stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and analysing policy changes and regulatory developments impacting the industrial and manufacturing sector.
  • Advising leadership on policy opportunities and challenges in Indonesia.
  • Representing the organisation in public forums, industry events, and government meetings.
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure alignment with external affairs strategies.
  • Preparing and delivering briefings, reports, and presentations to key stakeholders.
  • Managing compliance with local regulations and industry standards.

The Successful Applicant

A successful External Affairs Director should have:

  • A strong understanding of government relations and policy development within the industrial and manufacturing sector.
  • Proven experience in engaging with government agencies and industry stakeholders in Indonesia.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • The ability to analyse complex policy and regulatory issues.
  • A track record of successfully influencing policy and regulatory outcomes.
  • Proficiency in Bahasa Indonesia and English.
  • A relevant degree in public policy, law, business, or a related field.
