About Our Client

Our client, a prominent player in the coal mining industry, is looking to add a seasoned Long Term Mine Planning Engineer Supervisor to their team. This role will be crucial in driving the company's long-term strategic objectives and ensuring sustainable resource extraction while optimising operations for cost-efficiency and environmental compliance.

Job Description

  • Develop and maintain long-term mine plans in line with production and business goals.
  • Provide expert guidance in life-of-mine (LOM) planning, including pit design, scheduling, and equipment utilisation strategies.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and economic evaluations for mine expansion and infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate closely with geology, operations, and environment teams to ensure integration of geotechnical and environmental considerations.
  • Monitor and adjust plans based on performance metrics, regulatory changes, and market conditions.
  • Analyse production costs, manage budgets, and provide recommendations for operational efficiency.
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental standards in all mine planning activities.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in long-term mine planning within the coal mining industry. Having short and mid-term mine planning is preferably.
  • Strong proficiency in mine planning software such as MineScape, Surpac, or Vulcan.
  • Solid understanding of economic, environmental, and regulatory aspects of coal mining.
  • Proven track record of effectively managing LOM planning and feasibility assessments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to present complex data effectively.
  • Fluent in English and Bahasa Indonesia.
