Job Description

As a GIS Superintendent, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and implement GIS and survey procedures/SOPs.
  • Lead daily survey and GIS operations, both field and office-based.
  • Conduct reconciliation with contractors and produce monthly activity reports (OB, saprolite, limonite, MHR, area progress).
  • Oversee drone mapping operations and software processing (Surpac, QGIS, ArcGIS).
  • Monitor pit updates, slope stability, exploration drilling points, and boundary/tapal batas.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and company standards.
  • Provide training, guidance, and performance evaluation for the GIS team.
  • Coordinate with other departments for mapping requests and reporting needs.

The Successful Applicant

A successful GIS Superintendent should have:

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum 8 years in GIS/survey roles, or 3 years in similar supervisory level.
  • Certifications of POP (mandatory) or POM (advantage), and Juru Ukur Tambang.
  • Proficient in Surpac, QGIS, ArcGIS, MS Office, drone mapping software.
  • Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and teamwork skills.
  • Understanding of Geodesy fundamentals, ISO 9001, ISO 14001.
