Our client is seeking an experienced Factory Logistics & Shipping Manager to oversee end-to-end factory logistics, shipping operations, warehouse activities, and inbound supply coordination for a large-scale refining complex in Sumatra. The role will play a critical leadership function in ensuring seamless export operations, operational continuity, and cross-border logistics execution while being groomed for future Factory Manager succession.

Our client is a well-established Southeast Asian industrial and agribusiness group with strong regional expertise in refining and export operations. The company is currently expanding its integrated processing and logistics footprint in Indonesia, operating a newly developed large-scale manufacturing and export facility with significant long-term growth plans.

Job Description

  • Lead day-to-day operations across shipping, logistics, warehouse, weighbridge, inbound material flow, and jetty activities
  • Ensure smooth coordination of export and domestic shipment operations, including vessel scheduling and cargo readiness
  • Manage bonded zone operational activities and ensure compliance with shipping and trade documentation requirements
  • Coordinate closely with commercial teams, buyers, and regional stakeholders to ensure timely product delivery and contract fulfillment
  • Oversee operational continuity of inbound raw material movement into the plant and mitigate disruptions impacting production activities
  • Monitor warehouse operations, tank farm movement, dispatch activities, and logistics execution
  • Ensure all shipping documentation, certifications, and regulatory requirements are completed accurately and on time
  • Drive process improvements, operational efficiency, and system enhancement initiatives across operations and shipping functions
  • Lead and develop operational teams while strengthening cross-functional coordination between plant operations and supply chain stakeholders
  • Support future expansion projects and contribute to broader operational leadership initiatives within the manufacturing complex

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in logistics, shipping, or supply chain within manufacturing
  • Exposure to export operations and international logistics coordination, including Jetty operations
  • Knowledge of shipping documentation and compliance processes
  • Familiar with warehousing, inbound flow, or port-related activities
  • Strong leadership in managing operational and cross-functional teams
  • Hands-on, adaptable, and comfortable in a dynamic environment
  • Background in industrial or process-driven industries preferred
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proactive, problem-solving mindset
