Job Description

1. Trade Lane Development & Strategy

  • Develop and execute trade lane strategies to increase market share, volume, and profitability.
  • Analyze trade flows, market conditions, competitor activities, and rate trends to identify new opportunities.
  • Collaborate with global offices and overseas agents to expand business within assigned lanes.
  • Build trade forecasts and regularly review trade lane performance against targets.



2. Carrier & Vendor Relationship Management

  • Build strong relationships with carriers to secure capacity, allocations, and favorable commercial terms.
  • Monitor carrier performance, service reliability, transit time, and contract adherence.
  • Conduct quarterly/annual reviews with carriers and vendors to strengthen partnerships.
  • Escalate service issues and collaborate to provide effective solutions.



3. Trade Operations Support

  • Work with operations teams to ensure service execution matches trade lane strategy.
  • Support with shipment planning, allocation management, and resolving service disruptions.
  • Provide trade-specific training and updates to internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with global standards and relevant regulations.



4. Business Analysis & Reporting

  • Track KPIs such as yield, contribution margin, volume, win rates, space utilization, and carrier performance.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly trade lane reports and propose corrective actions.
  • Maintain strong understanding of global market dynamics and supply chain disruptions affecting trade.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience in trade management and shipping schedules.
  • Experience in the container shipping industry in TRANSPACIFIC Trade min. 5 years
  • Knowledge of market analysis and trade strategy development
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills
  • Understanding of regulatory compliance in the shipping industry
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Logistics, Maritime Studies, or a related field
