This role involves developing new business opportunities and strengthening existing customer relationships while ensuring compliance with company policies and achieving key performance indicators (KPIs).

Job Description

Execution of Sell Out and Offtake:

Take charge of sales initiatives, gather market insights, adjust promotional strategies, oversee implementation, and assess their effectiveness.

Management of Distributors:

Nurture relationships with distributors, evaluate performance, communicate objectives, track progress, devise action plans, and report accomplishments.

Enhancement of DSR Skills:

Evaluate training needs, contribute to training plans, provide guidance to Distributor Sales Representatives (DSRs), and supervise training execution.

Increase in Assets and Productivity:

Identify asset requirements, monitor productivity levels, implement enhancements, and ensure efficient utilization.

Retention and Acquisition of Customers:

Oversee customer portfolio management, forge partnerships, address customer inquiries, and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.

Understanding of Territory and Management of Key Accounts:

Collect and analyze territory data, offer insights for promotional strategies, and assist in overall management of the territory.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Educational Qualifications: Diploma degree in any field.
  2. Relevant Experience: Minimum 2 years of sales experience in retail, preferably in the building material industry.
  3. Personal Characteristics & Behaviours:
  • Strong analytically and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent sales and territory management skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
  • Effective coordination skills in managing distributors, DSRs, and Distribution Centers (DCs).
  • Demonstrates initiative and a commitment to excellence in execution.
