Job Description

As a Superintendent Mine Geotechnical & Hydrogeologist, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing geotechnical and hydrogeological plans for mining operations.
  • Monitoring and assessing ground stability to ensure operational safety.
  • Conducting hydrogeological studies to manage water systems effectively.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise mining operations.
  • Providing technical guidance and support to the mining team.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and safety standards.
  • Preparing detailed reports and documentation of findings and recommendations.
  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of geotechnical and hydrogeological processes.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Superintendent Mine Geotechnical & Hydrogeologist should have:

  • Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Hydrogeology
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in geotechnical and hydrogeological roles within mining (preferably having exposure to underground mine)
  • Strong leadership, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Good English communication skills.
