Job Description

  • Develop and execute product testing and validation.
  • Work cross-functionally to support test and characterization aspects in new product development.
  • Conduct test engineering analysis to assist internal and external customers.
  • Define test plans, develop complex test procedures, and assess software and hardware impacts on production and application approvals.
  • Lead failure analysis for PCBA/system and perform Failure Mode Testing.
  • Provide technical guidance to FA technicians and collaborate with management on defect analysis, test method improvements, and quality enhancements.
  • Conduct device characterization testing per documented test plans to ensure new products meet specifications.
  • Analyze test results, track sample build progress, and generate reports to support NPI product development.
  • Work closely with product teams to identify key data sets and create relevant reports.



The Successful Applicant

Basic Requirements:

  1. Diploma or degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  2. At least 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  3. Strong communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.



Must-Have Requirements:

  1. Understanding of automotive processes.
  2. Knowledge of PCBA and electronic schematic diagrams.
  3. Ability to read operational schematics and track schematic/product progress.
  4. Proficiency in using measurement equipment (e.g., Oscilloscope, CRO, DMM).
  5. Experience in failure analysis and root cause identification.



Testing Methodology & Equipment:

  1. Expertise in CAN analyzer, CAN BUS, and electrical voltage accuracy studies.
  2. Familiarity with LIN Shifter and LIN communication.
  3. Ability to conduct engineering reviews for new projects, including software analysis and installation for verification.



Additional Skills (Preferred):

  1. Experience with Vector Canoe + DET for software issue analysis.
  2. Knowledge of Unified Diagnostic Services (UDS).
