As Senior Project Controller, you will play a critical role in overseeing project cost management and governance throughout the full project lifecycle. Working closely with the Project & Development Manager and key internal and external stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with regulatory and corporate standards.

Job Description

As a Senior Project Controller, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Monitor and control live project expenditures, identifying and explaining cost variances in coordination with cost engineers.
  • Support the Project & Development Manager in preparing engineering cost estimates with appropriate accuracy as projects mature.
  • Assist in the preparation of project documentation including cost estimates, execution plans, vendor management, and QA/QC documentation.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and corporate finance teams to support project approval processes.
  • Prepare monthly project spend reports and forecasts for management review.
  • Coordinate and support PEER reviews and project gate reviews as required.
  • Maintain and develop project cost databases for engineering activities, services, and materials.
  • Implement and maintain project document management systems to ensure proper control and traceability.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in operations, engineering, or project roles within oil & gas companies or contractors.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, and project management principles.
  • PMP certification is required.
  • Proven ability to work across functions and manage multiple stakeholders in a highly regulated environment.
