You will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities, with a strong focus on creating relationships, generating revenue, and closing deals. The ideal candidate is a hunter by nature, with a curiosity to learn and adapt quickly, and a solid background in sales in industrial sectors (i.e. mining, palm oil, etc).

Our client is a multinational company that is currently trying to enter Indonesian market.

Job Description

  • Prospecting & Sales: Actively hunt for new business opportunities by prospecting and knocking on doors.
  • Lead Generation: Develop and manage relationships with potential clients in Indonesia, focusing on generating sales revenue.
  • Sales Strategy: Independently strategize and execute sales plans to meet and exceed targets, working closely with the Sales Manager for South Asia.
  • Industry Expertise: Utilize knowledge of the solutions and machinery sectors to engage with key decision-makers and drive sales.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Leverage established relationships and continuously build new connections within the industry to expand the customer base.
  • Negotiations & Closing: Lead negotiations, handle contracts, and close deals effectively and efficiently.
  • Adaptability: Unlearn outdated methods, be proactive, and adjust to market demands and customer needs in real-time.

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in a sales engineering or related sales role, with a proven track record of success.
  • Familiarity with either of the following industries: mining, steel, palm oil, hygeine; and existing relationships with key customers.
  • Strong hunter mentality - ability to actively seek new business and close deals.
  • Independent, proactive, and comfortable navigating ambiguity and uncertainty.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision and take initiative.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
