Job Description



  1. MIS Strategy and Leadership:
    • Develop and execute the retail risk MIS strategy in alignment with the bank's broader risk management objectives.
    • Lead a team of skilled professionals to design, implement, and maintain robust MIS solutions that cater to retail risk assessment, portfolio monitoring, and performance analysis.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment between MIS initiatives and business goals.


  2. SAS Expertise and Solution Development:
    • Leverage advanced SAS programming skills to design and develop comprehensive retail risk MIS solutions, including data extraction, transformation, and visualization.
    • Build, refine, and automate reports, dashboards, and analytical tools to facilitate effective risk assessment and decision-making processes.
    • Stay current with SAS software updates and industry best practices to continually enhance the capabilities of the MIS platform.


  3. Data Management and Quality:
    • Oversee data sourcing, integration, and validation processes to ensure the accuracy and integrity of retail risk data.
    • Implement data governance practices and collaborate with data management teams to maintain high data quality standards.


  4. Risk Analytics and Reporting:
    • Collaborate with retail risk analytics teams to integrate advanced analytics methodologies into the MIS solutions, enabling predictive and prescriptive risk insights.
    • Generate comprehensive risk reports, performance metrics, and trends to support senior management in assessing portfolio quality and making informed decisions.
    • Responsible in preparing and consolidates data for monthly Portfolio Quality Report (PQR)
    • Responsible to compile MIS Deck for Unsecured and Secured Loan Portfolios.
    • Responsible in preparing deck of portfolio performance, segment level Risk Appetite Ratio, industry trend, bureau analysis and profitability performance for Senior Risk Committee Meeting.


  5. Regulatory Compliance and Documentation:
    • Ensure that the retail risk MIS solutions adhere to regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
    • Maintain thorough documentation of MIS processes, methodologies, and data sources for auditing and compliance purposes.


  6. Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Act as a key point of contact for retail risk stakeholders, addressing inquiries, providing insights, and ensuring the effective utilization of the MIS platform.
    • Collaborate with risk management leadership and business units to identify evolving MIS needs and tailor solutions accordingly.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in retail risk management within the banking sector, with expertise in MIS development and reporting.
  • Proficiency in utilizing SAS,SQL software for data manipulation, analysis, and reporting is essential.
  • Proven leadership skills, with experience managing teams and leading strategic initiatives.
  • Strong understanding of retail banking products, credit risk assessment, and portfolio management.
  • Excellent data management skills, with the ability to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements related to retail risk management and MIS reporting.
  • Analytical mindset, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills to convey complex information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
