Working closely with Commercial, Medical, Market Access, and Corporate Affairs teams, this role leads efforts to improve patient access and healthcare outcomes. You will partner with policymakers, patient communities, and healthcare experts to overcome system challenges and advance initiatives in screening, diagnosis, referral, and treatment.

Job Description

As a Public Policy Manager, your main responsibilities will include:



  • 1. Policy Shaping & Patient Activation InitiativesLead the development and execution of initiatives designed to influence health policy and enhance patient engagement across priority disease areas. This includes:
    • Mapping and analyzing patient‑journey barriers to identify policy gaps, access challenges, and opportunities for system improvement.
    • Designing, initiating, and accelerating collaborative programs with internal teams and external partners to drive policy change and strengthen patient pathways.
    • Monitoring progress, evaluating impact, and disseminating best practices to ensure continuous improvement and alignment across the organization.



    2. Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship BuildingCultivate and maintain strong relationships with influential stakeholders across the healthcare ecosystem, including:

    • Policymakers and government advisors
    • Patient advocacy organizations
    • Clinical experts and professional societies
    • Other strategic partners involved in shaping health policy and delivery
      These relationships will support policy advancement, advocacy initiatives, and collaborative problem‑solving.



    3. Partnership & Advocacy EnablementDrive meaningful impact by leveraging a mix of policy and advocacy tools, such as:

    • Strategic partnerships
    • Media engagement and thought leadership
    • Evidence‑generation initiatives
    • Public‑facing programs that support awareness and system change
      Your work will help elevate disease awareness, strengthen the policy environment, and support long‑term healthcare improvement.



    4. Senior Leader EnablementPrepare, brief, and support senior leaders to effectively communicate therapeutic‑area priorities and policy positions to external stakeholders.
    This includes crafting clear narratives, aligning messages internally, and ensuring leaders are equipped to represent the organization credibly and confidently.

The Successful Applicant



A successful Public Policy Manager should have:

  • Deep understanding of the healthcare system, including how policy decisions are shaped and implemented.
  • Knowledge of national political and economic priorities, and how they influence healthcare access and funding.
  • Experience working collaboratively in a fast‑paced, multicultural environment, with a track record of building consensus.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder‑engagement skills, with the ability to influence diverse audiences.
  • Strategic thinking capabilities, able to navigate complexity and translate insights into actionable plans.
  • Leadership through influence, supported by strong self‑awareness and emotional intelligence.
  • Proactive, independent, and entrepreneurial mindset, with a solutions‑oriented approach to challenges.
  • Professional experience within the healthcare ecosystem, such as government agencies, regulatory bodies, medical associations, hospitals, NGOs, or health‑related industries.
  • Familiarity with major therapeutic areas, including oncology, respiratory, immunology, cardiovascular, renal/metabolic diseases, and vaccines.
  • Experience in patient advocacy, communications, public relations, or evidence‑generation, particularly in health‑policy contexts.
