Job Description

As a Plant Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Managing daily operations of the manufacturing facility to meet production targets.
  • Developing and implementing operational strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Overseeing maintenance and ensuring all machinery and equipment are in optimal condition.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
  • Managing and mentoring a team to foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
  • Monitoring production budgets and controlling costs effectively.
  • Coordinating with other departments to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvements and driving their implementation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Plant Manager should have:

  • A degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in plant management or a similar role within the FMCG industry.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Proficiency in analysing and improving operational performance.
  • Good understanding of health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Effective communication and problem-solving abilities.
