About Our Client

Our client is a growing services start-up company. They are looking to bring on board a Operations Manager who can assist the business at a time of rapid growth and make a key contribution to the business

Job Description

    • To monitor, analyze, and develop action plans to improve inbound/outbound ground transportation (for mining related products, equipments, etc), warehousing and related documentation for the upstream and downstream operations
    • Building relationships and contacts within the industry such as ports, customs officials, shipping and freight forwarders, transport service providers and other key officials
    • Develop service level agreements with all clients and to implement effective logistics management programs
    • Identifies areas for further improvement when undertaking future planning
    • Oversee monthly compliance and maintenance budget
    • Review cost management issues and identify improvements
    • May propose new procedure to ensure effective and efficient Fleet Management
    • Establishes systems to ensure that the organisation's continuous improvement processes are communicated to all stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

  • Minimum 7 - 10 years of working experience as the operations manager within mining environment
  • Require to work on a mining site in Sulawesi (remote area)
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain & Logistics, Business, or Management, or other related field; or a combination of education and other relevant experience
  • Proven ability to manage functions and activities related to the procurement, servicing, operation, maintenance, and repair of vehicles
  • Competencies required: leadership skills, dealing with ambiguity, adapting to change, priority setting, collaboration, influential, innovative, simplicity
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to interact effectively with all stakeholders
  • Strong written and spoken communication skills in both local and English languages
  • Proven track record in strategic agility and operational excellence
