The company has a strong presence and has been supporting the electrical industry around Australasia.Job DescriptionTake ownership of improving the Production team's performance by identifying areas of improvement and developing strategies to address themGuide and assist the Production team in implementing these strategies effectivelyEstablish and maintain reporting systems to monitor progress and efficacy of initiatives, and collaborate with other functional areas for cross-functional successWork with Production Supervisors to identify KPIs for each functional area and set SMART goals based on themMonitor KPIs regularly, coach Production Supervisors for better performance, and create new policies or processes to address areas of concernLead Production Management team to ensure smooth day-to-day operations, identify urgent production issues, and implement quick-fix solutionsIdentify bottlenecks and make necessary improvements to achieve daily targets, improve scheduling, and execute annual plans for each functional areaManage daily activities and identify necessary improvements for each functional areaDevelop business plan and systems for Engineering team collaboration, set KPIs, and track engineering tasks to meet company objectivesManage Maintenance team for preventive maintenance program, recommend new machinery, and ensure machine uptime is optimalContribute to company's future direction and support strategic initiatives as a member of the company's Leadership teamMonitor and oversee the implementation of the company business plan for production functions and contribute to the strategic direction of the businessPromote quality standards throughout the organization, introduce quality initiatives, and review quality plan and results for areas of improvementCoach direct reports to improve and manage quality and lead health and safety initiativesEstablish strong relationships with all teams within the business, collaborate constructively, and proactively participate in performance and development conversationsBehave professionally at all times, reflect the company's values and standards of behavior, and lead by example.The Successful ApplicantStrong in CI, LEAN, manufacturing excellence, safety, project management, NPI, factory expansionFamiliar with CAPEX and OPEXHas strong leadership and background in leading production, design, engineering, logistics, HR, purchasing, delivery and salesStrong technical and engineering understandingTransformer product knowledge is a plus pointHas worked with international counterparts, and has strong understanding and familiar with Western culture.
