This role is critical to ensuring optimal performance, energy efficiency, and reliability of mechanical systems including HVAC, chilled water systems, fire suppression, and other mission-critical infrastructure.

Job Description

As a Data Center Mechanical Engineering Manager, your main responsibilities include:

  • Managing the design, operation, and maintenance of mechanical systems within the data centre
  • Ensuring compliance with local and international standards for safety and efficiency
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise system performance and reliability
  • Leading troubleshooting efforts to resolve mechanical system issues promptly
  • Developing and implementing preventive maintenance programmes for critical equipment
  • Providing technical guidance and training to the engineering team
  • Evaluating new technologies and recommending upgrades to improve efficiency and sustainability
  • Preparing detailed reports on system performance and project progress for stakeholders

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Center Mechanical Engineering Manager should have:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Proven expertise in managing mechanical systems within a data centre or similar environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions
  • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in technology and telecoms
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage and guide a team effectively
  • Experience with energy-efficient and sustainable system designs
  • Fluency in english
