Job Description

The Logistics Manager will be responsible for managing the logistics team, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring timely and accurate deliveries to stores.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Warehouse Management:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, inventory management, and order fulfillment.
    • Ensure effective space utilization and manage warehouse layout to improve efficiency.
    • Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) for tracking inventory and managing stock movements.
    • Monitor stock levels, coordinate replenishment, and reduce stockouts or excess inventory.
    • Ensure health and safety compliance in the warehouse environment.


  • Transportation & Distribution:
    • Manage transportation logistics to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods to retail locations.
    • Coordinate with third-party carriers, negotiate freight contracts, and optimize delivery routes.
    • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and oversee vehicle maintenance.
    • Develop and maintain a transportation strategy to optimize delivery schedules, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.


  • Team Leadership & Development:
    • Lead and supervise a team of warehouse staff, drivers, and logistics coordinators.
    • Provide training, set performance expectations, and conduct performance reviews.
    • Foster a collaborative team environment and promote a culture of continuous improvement.


  • Inventory Control:
    • Oversee stocktaking and cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.
    • Manage inventory forecasting and collaborate with purchasing teams to optimize stock levels.
    • Implement best practices for inventory management to minimize waste, shrinkage, and stock discrepancies.


  • Supply Chain Coordination:
    • Liaise with suppliers, store managers, and other internal departments to coordinate the flow of goods.
    • Resolve logistics issues such as delays, discrepancies, and damaged goods.
    • Analyze logistics data and generate reports on performance, costs, and efficiency to identify opportunities for process improvement.


  • Budget & Cost Control:
    • Monitor logistics budgets, track spending, and identify areas for cost reduction without compromising service levels.
    • Negotiate contracts with suppliers and third-party logistics providers to secure favorable terms.


  • Compliance & Reporting:
    • Ensure compliance with relevant transportation, safety, and environmental regulations.
    • Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, transportation costs, and inventory turnover.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidates will be based in Karawang and meeting this requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in logistics management, preferably in retail or supermarket operations.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, transportation management, and inventory control.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management software.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions to improve logistics efficiency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage logistics challenges under pressure.
  • Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with budgeting and cost control in logistics operations.
