Our client is a stable manufacturing company based in Palembang and Jakarta. Currently, they are looking for a procurement manager who will be responsible to procure all direct and indirect materials for production, with the majority categories being log wood and resin.

Our client is a stable manufacturing company based in Palembang and Jakarta. Their products are used mostly in furniture manufacturing, interior design, and construction. As one of the biggest player in the region with export orientation, they are looking for talented individuals that will help to drive their growth.

Job Description

  • Identifying essential parts order levels raising purchase orders.
  • Communicate/ negotiate with suppliers for contracts and all other manufacturing related issues, specially for log wood and resins.
  • Liaise with local suppliers for new/recurring orders and ensure delivery of goods in a timely basis.
  • Select and develop suppliers and business opportunities.
  • Maintaining and grow partnerships with internal and external team across functions frequently.
  • Ensure that process is aligned with various departments in the company.
  • Lead a team of 10 strategically and report to senior management in a timely manner.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering or a related field from Tier 1 universities.
  • Minimum 10-15 years of relevant experience, with good track record
  • Have exposure to contracts bench marking
  • Project management experience to drive improvement initiatives
  • Well developed influencing skills and is able to engage stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong written and communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Hands on and is able to deal with private forest owners in the region
  • Willing to be placed in Palembang.
