Job Description

  • Develop and execute the overall business strategy for the cattle operation, including breeding, feedlot, processing, and market expansion.
  • Set annual performance targets (production, cost, yield, revenue, profit) and ensure the business unit delivers against KPIs.
  • Identify opportunities for integration across feed, crop, logistics, and meat processing divisions.
  • Represent the cattle business in executive management meetings and report performance to group leadership.
  • Oversee the daily operations of breeding farms, feedlots, and supporting facilities in Kalimantan.
  • Ensure optimal herd productivity, feed efficiency, animal health, and biosecurity compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement in operational systems, animal welfare, and sustainability practices.
  • Manage capex projects such as farm expansion, infrastructure upgrades, and technology implementation.
  • Manage P&L for the cattle business unit, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency.
  • Develop pricing, marketing, and branding strategies for beef or livestock products.
  • Analyze market trends and recommend strategies to improve competitiveness and export readiness.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing operations and management team.
  • Foster collaboration across departments (finance, HR, sustainability, supply chain).
  • Build strong relationships with government bodies, cooperatives, and business partners related to livestock development.
  • Ensure compliance with Indonesian livestock regulations, sustainability standards, and company policies.
  • Promote sustainable and ethical farming practices in line with ESG principles.
  • Engage in research collaborations with universities or livestock research centres to improve productivity and genetics.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Animal Science, Veterinary Science, Agribusiness, or related field.
  • Minimum 20 years of progressive experience in livestock, cattle, or agribusiness operations, with at least 10 years in senior leadership
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale cattle operations (breeding, feedlot, or integrated farm-to-meat business).
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing full P&L responsibility.
  • Familiarity with government programs, livestock regulations, and sustainability frameworks in Indonesia.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to be based full-time in Kalimantan and travel regularly to project sites.
