Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Report directly to the shareholders/family, providing strategic legal advice and insights on business decisions.
  • Secure all necessary permits and licenses for new hospital projects and operational expansions across Indonesia.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of agreements, including land acquisition, vendor, partnership, and construction contracts.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare, corporate, and investment regulations, anticipating regulatory changes that may impact the business.
  • Support the company's IPO preparation, including governance documentation and internal policy alignment.
  • Act as a key partner in organizational transformation, contributing to legal structure, process improvement, and risk management.
  • Lead ESG and sustainability initiatives, including data collection, policy rollout, and monitoring of performance indicators.
  • Build strong relationships with regulators, external counsel, and business partners to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Work independently in a lean environment while mentoring junior staff and preparing to develop the legal team as the company scales.
  • Provide clear legal presentations and updates to management, ensuring informed and compliant decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law; a Master's degree or advocate license is an advantage.
  • 5-7 years of experience in corporate legal, licensing, and compliance-ideally within the healthcare, infrastructure, or real estate sectors.
  • High level of maturity, stakeholder management, and proactiveness, with the ability to take initiatives and work independently.
  • Comfortable working in a lean setup as an individual contributor while preparing to build and lead a legal team as the company grows.
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
  • Willing to be based in Cirebon, with frequent travel across Java.
