My client is a growing retail company with presence in Southeast Asia region.

Job Description

  • Work closely with the leadership team to guide and support key strategic decisions.
  • Take ownership of the legal function, overseeing corporate governance, legal compliance, and risk management.
  • Advise on company establishment, internal restructuring, and other corporate matters.
  • Develop and implement the company's legal and compliance frameworks from the ground up.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and operational licensing requirements.
  • Manage contracts, agreements, and other legal documents, ensuring they align with business objectives.
  • Provide timely and accurate legal advice on various operational matters, including FMCG-related processes.
  • Represent the company in legal matters, liaising with external legal advisors when needed.
  • Promote a culture of integrity, transparency, and long-term impact across the organization.



The Successful Applicant

  • Proven experience as a legal counsel, corporate lawyer, or in a similar role.
  • Strong background in corporate law, legal compliance, company establishment, and internal restructuring.
  • Experience in the FMCG industry is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with operational licensing, certification processes, and regulatory requirements is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Law degree from an accredited institution; membership in the relevant legal body.
