We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel to join an iconic luxury commercial building development. This role is ideal for a strategic legal professional with a strong commercial mindset and the ability to influence at the leadership level. As the sole legal contributor, you will play a critical role in driving governance, managing legal risk, and ensuring the organization operates with integrity and in full compliance with applicable regulations.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead contract management activities including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and ensuring proper implementation to minimize legal and commercial risks.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate legal and regulatory risks across business operations.
  • Oversee and ensure strong corporate governance, including advising the Board and supporting AGMS and related activities.
  • Provide strategic legal advisory and manage dispute resolution processes effectively.
  • Develop, review, and implement company-wide legal and compliance policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, partners, and service providers.
  • Deliver training and development initiatives to strengthen legal and compliance awareness across the organization.
  • Act as a strategic partner to leadership, providing clear and practical legal guidance to support decision-making.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Law; Master's degree or relevant professional certifications are an advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of legal and compliance experience, preferably in real estate, commercial property, or luxury development sectors.
  • Proven track record in contract management, governance, and dispute resolution.
  • Strong communication and articulation skills, with the ability to engage confidently with senior internal and external stakeholders.
  • Fluent in English (verbal and written) is mandatory.
  • Ability to work independently as a sole contributor, while collaborating effectively across multiple divisions.
  • Strategic thinker with strong business acumen and sound judgment.
