As Lead Civil Engineer, you will oversee all infrastructure projects for mining operations such as roads, bridges, ports, and other critical infrastructure. You will work with contractors and consultants to ensure projects are executed with the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency while staying within budget and schedule.

Job Description

  • Plan, manage, and oversee the execution of infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and operational requirements
  • Review and evaluate contractor tender submissions, ensuring alignment with project scope and budget
  • Monitor material usage, procurement, and inventory to minimize waste and avoid shortages
  • Supervise contractors to ensure compliance with design specifications, safety standards, and contractual obligations
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring all milestones and deadlines are met
  • Ensure all civil engineering designs comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements
  • Reporting to stakeholders and collaborate with internal team including operations and finance teams, to ensure projects meet operational needs and financial constraints

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in civil engineering role in Mining industry
  • Track records in managing infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, ports, preferably in mining or industrial environments
  • Strong knowledge of tender processes, project management, cost control, and scheduling
  • Familiarity with relevant engineering standards, codes, and regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and engineering tools
  • Willing to travel and work in mining site locations
