Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a risk-based security strategy, including policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Ensure compliance by embedding security requirements into business processes and projects.
  • Define risk appetite and reporting frameworks, conduct regular assessments and audits, and provide leadership with visibility into risk posture.
  • Oversee security budgeting, vendor selection, and control assurance.
  • Lead and grow the security team, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Manage deployment and operations of key security technologies (SIEM, IDS/IPS, WAF, vulnerability management).
  • Implement and lead incident response processes, investigations, and post-incident remediation.
  • Serve as cloud security subject matter expert, supporting secure architecture and infrastructure reviews.
  • Build and enforce a Secure SDLC, ensuring secure coding practices and vulnerability management.
  • Stay ahead of emerging threats and technologies, implementing relevant controls and improvements.
  • Deliver ongoing security training and awareness for technical and non-technical employees.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements

  • 10+ years of cybersecurity experience, including at least 5 years in leadership roles.
  • Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and industry best practices.
  • Hands-on experience in cloud security (AWS/GCP), including secure configuration reviews and infrastructure automation.
  • Proven experience in incident response leadership, including after-hours support.
  • Skilled with SIEM, IDS/IPS, and security monitoring technologies.
  • Security certifications (CISSP, CISM, etc.) are highly preferred.
