Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all legal, regulatory, and corporate affairs matters across Indonesia operations
  • Oversee compliance with fisheries, environmental, food safety, and export regulations
  • Manage relationships with key regulators and government authorities
  • Drive ESG and sustainability-related legal frameworks, including environmental and community considerations
  • Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements across global supply chains
  • Advise on food safety, product liability, and crisis management (e.g. recalls, compliance breaches)
  • Oversee corporate governance, including board matters and alignment with global headquarters
  • Provide legal support on land use, water rights, and operational expansion initiatives
  • Manage employment law, industrial relations, and workplace compliance
  • Lead dispute resolution, including litigation and regulatory matters
  • Implement and oversee compliance programs, including anti-bribery and internal investigations
  • Act as a strategic and trusted advisor to senior leadership, influencing key business decisions

The Successful Applicant

Key Requirements

  • Qualified lawyer with strong academic credentials and admission in Indonesia (additional jurisdictions are a plus)
  • 12-18+ years of legal experience, with a foundation in reputable law firms combined with in-house exposure
  • Demonstrated international exposure, with experience supporting cross-border matters and global stakeholders
  • Strong background in regulated industries such as FMCG, food production, agribusiness, natural resources, or pharmaceuticals
  • Proven experience handling regulatory, ESG, and operational legal matters
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in complex contract negotiations
  • Experience engaging with government bodies and managing senior external stakeholders
  • A credible, confident, and influential personality with the ability to engage and influence senior leadership
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams and external counsel
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, hands-on environment with high operational exposure
