Job Description

  • Define and execute infrastructure and DevOps strategies aligned with business goals.
  • Drive cloud adoption, containerization, and microservices architecture.
  • Oversee Google Cloud infrastructure for reliability, performance, and cost optimization.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and champion Infrastructure-as-Code using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Build and mentor a high-performing DevOps and Infrastructure team.

The Successful Applicant

Typical Requirements

  • Experience: Usually 8-12+ years in DevOps or infrastructure, with at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Technical Proficiency: Deep expertise in GCP architecture, container orchestration (Docker/Kubernetes), and automation frameworks (Ansible/Terraform).
  • Certifications: Often preferred to hold a GCP Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification.
  • Soft Skills: Strong stakeholder communication, vendor management, and the ability to align technical initiatives with business outcomes.

Tools Frequently Managed

  • Orchestration: Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Docker.
  • CI/CD: Cloud Build, Artifact Registry, ArgoCD, Spinnaker.
  • Monitoring: Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana.
  • Automation: Terraform, Helm, Shell scripting, Python.
