Job Description

1. Strategic Planning

  • Lead the strategic planning process from company roadmap to investor building, financial operations essentially coming up with financial forecast models and tools
  • Provides guidance in the development of financial performance and monitoring mechanisms and evaluation processes
  • Calibrating with the founders and senior management team with regard to their strategic and capital roadmap, and positioning.



2. Planning and Organizing the Capital/Funding

  • Develop financial models and valuation analyses that help guide the decision making process
  • Work closely with the management team to define milestones and metrics needed for a successful fundraise
  • Conduct industry and market research related to trends, risks, opportunities and competitive landscape
  • Preparing and defining options in adverse or financial distress situations



3. Raising Capital and Capital Structure

  • Preparation and ad-hoc investor and management reportings
  • Market testing, approaches in dealings and negotiations
  • Demand generation
  • Process support



4. Network Building

  • Provision of a standard and quality pipeline of investors and co-investors
  • Generate a detailed list of potential and active investor profiles, organizations and preferences and come up with processes in ensuring a processes to support decision making
  • Create programs to tighten relationships with preferred investors/partners
  • Provide financial and strategic analysis related to the Company's funding and capital markets strategy, M&A, investment opportunities and strategic partnerships

The Successful Applicant

  • Keen strategic understanding of a wide range of businesses. This involves digging into the eCommerce enabler business, product and competitive landscape;
  • Great storytelling skills to be able to create a compelling narrative for any fundraising situation (favorable or adverse);
  • Strong network of potential investors and co-investors, with an inside view of the priorities and preferences of the investors and the ability to match appropriate investors to the funding opportunities;
  • Ability to build a network of various service providers with the needed coordination with finance, legal, tax and other departments to ensure seamless deal execution
  • Ability to work closely with founders and senior management in a supportive and consultative manner to secure buy-in that is consistent with the companys founder-focused approach
  • Experience in management consulting, corporate strategy
  • Familiarity working in Southeast Asia and long term commitment to the region
  • Candidates with less experience may be considered for the Associate role
