Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the cloud infrastructure strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Lead the architecture, deployment, and management of cloud environments, primarily AWS and/or GCP.
  • Drive cloud modernization initiatives, including containerization, microservices, and automation.
  • Establish governance frameworks, cost optimization strategies, and performance monitoring.
  • Collaborate with engineering, security, and product teams to ensure secure and compliant cloud operations.
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for cloud services and tools.
  • Mentor and grow a high-performing cloud engineering team.

The Successful Applicant

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of IT infrastructure experience, with at least 5 years in cloud leadership roles.
  • Proven expertise in AWS and/or GCP architecture and operations.
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security, compliance, and cost management.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tools.
  • Familiarity with financial services or regulated industries is highly desirable.
  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect or Google Professional Cloud Architect are a plus.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
