General Counsel (Fintech - OJK)

Key ResponsibilitiesRegulatory & Compliance

• Lead and oversee all legal and regulatory matters related to OJK-regulated financial services, including licensing, ongoing compliance, regulatory reporting, inspections, and regulatory change management.
• Act as the primary legal point of contact with OJK and other relevant regulators (e.g. BI, PPATK, Kominfo, relevant ministries), including managing correspondence, regulatory submissions, and examinations.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations relating to financial services, consumer protection, data privacy, AML/CFT, corporate governance, and risk management.

Legal Advisory & Risk Management

• Provide strategic legal advice to the Board of Directors and senior management on corporate, commercial, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Identify, assess, and manage legal and regulatory risks, and develop mitigation strategies aligned with the company's risk appetite and business objectives.
• Oversee dispute management, litigation strategy, and engagement with external counsel when required.

Corporate Governance

• Ensure sound corporate governance practices in line with OJK regulations and best practices, including Board and committee governance, policies, and internal controls.
• Support corporate secretarial matters, including shareholder meetings, Board resolutions, and statutory filings.

Commercial & Transactional Matters

• Review, draft, and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including partnerships, technology, vendor, financing, and strategic collaboration agreements.
• Provide legal support on product development, new business initiatives, and market expansion, ensuring regulatory alignment from inception to launch.

Team & Stakeholder Management

• Lead and develop the in-house legal and compliance team, fostering a strong compliance culture across the organization.
• Coordinate and manage external legal advisors, consultants, and regulators efficiently and cost-effectively.
