Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between the company and government institutions, including but not limited to the Ministry of Forestry, Ministry of Industry, BKPM / investment agencies, and other relevant authorities.
  • Build, maintain, and leverage strong working relationships with senior government officials to support licensing, regulatory approvals, compliance, and strategic initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyse regulatory developments, government policies, and political dynamics that may impact the business, providing practical and strategic advice to management.
  • Support business expansion, operational continuity, and investment activities by managing government engagement strategies and issue resolution.
  • Oversee general affairs matters as required, including coordination with external stakeholders, vendors, and relevant authorities.
  • Prepare briefing materials, position papers, and internal updates for senior management related to government and regulatory matters.
  • Represent the company professionally in meetings, forums, and engagements with government bodies.

The Successful Applicant

Requirements

  • 10-15 years of experience in Government Relations, Public Affairs, or related roles.
  • Demonstrated strong connections and credibility with senior officials, particularly within:
    • Ministry of Forestry
    • Ministry of Industry
    • BKPM / Investment Coordinating Board
    • Other relevant central and regional government bodies
  • Proven ability to operate as a hands-on individual contributor rather than within a large team structure.
  • Strong understanding of Indonesia's regulatory, licensing, and policy environment, particularly for large-scale or regulated industries.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced, and multinational environment.
