Job Description

  • Oversee all aspects of the accounting function for our industrial manufacturing operations, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
  • Lead and manage a team of accounting professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Prepare and consolidate financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
  • Develop and implement robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage the budgeting and forecasting process, including variance analysis and corrective action plans.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Conduct in-depth cost accounting analysis to identify areas for cost optimization and profitability improvement.
  • Partner with the Chief Financial Officer to develop and implement financial strategies.
  • Provide insightful financial analysis and reporting to support operational decision-making.
  • Manage external audits and ensure a smooth and efficient process.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting or a similar field, with at least 5 years of proven managerial experience (preferred).
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team.
  • Proven track record of success in managing and developing accounting staff.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) strongly preferred.
  • Green Belt certification in Lean Six Sigma or a similar methodology (preferred).
  • In-depth knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
