About Our Client

We are currently partnering with a one of the leading global data center players, who is currently looking for a Facility Engineer to help them in this time of growth.

Job Description

  • Perform regular inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on electrical and mechanical systems, including UPS, generators, power distribution units (PDU), HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, and fire suppression systems.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical failures, ensuring quick resolution with minimal downtime.
  • Coordinate and oversee corrective maintenance and repairs, working closely with vendors and contractors.
  • Ensure compliance with operational standards, safety regulations, and best practices for mission-critical environments.
  • Ensure load balancing and power efficiency to prevent overloading and overheating risks.
  • Monitor power usage effectiveness (PUE) and implement strategies to improve energy efficiency.
  • Assist in capacity planning by evaluating power, cooling, and space requirements based on business growth.
  • Support infrastructure upgrades and expansions while minimizing disruptions.
  • Ensure 100% uptime by implementing redundancy strategies and contingency plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments and incident investigations, documenting findings and corrective actions.
  • Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 27001, TIA-942, Uptime Institute Tier Standards, and other industry regulations.
  • Lead response efforts during power failures, equipment breakdowns, and environmental fluctuations.
  • Maintain updated emergency procedures and conduct periodic disaster recovery drills.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2-5+ years of experience in data center operations, facility management, or a critical infrastructure environment.
  • Experience with power distribution, UPS, generators, HVAC, CRAC/CRAH units, and fire suppression systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems (480V, 3-phase power, grounding, etc.) OR mechanical systems (chillers, cooling towers, air handlers, etc.).
  • Familiarity with SCADA, BMS (Building Management System), and DCIM (Data Center Infrastructure Management) tools.
  • Ability to interpret electrical/mechanical drawings, schematics, and system layouts.
  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal teams.
  • Ability to work in high-pressure, fast-paced environments while ensuring operational stability.
