As Estimator / Proposal Engineer you will be responsible in the pre‑project phase by preparing cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and developing competitive tender proposals for construction projects. This role works closely with project managers, engineers, procurement, and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and comprehensive tender submissions.

About Our Client

We are currently representing one of our General Construction client who is looking to expand their Tender team for their upcoming projects

Job Description

  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs from drawings, specifications, and BOQs
  • Prepare accurate cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor packages, and indirect costs
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, compiling documents & ensuring alignment with client requirements
  • Support sourcing and evaluating vendor and subcontractor quotations
  • Conduct cost benchmarking and historical cost analysis
  • Coordinate with internal teams such as Construction, Engineering, Scheduling, and Procurement
  • Track tender status and maintain cost databases and pricing libraries

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field
  • 2-5 years experience as Estimator, Proposal Engineer, Quantity Surveyor, or similar role in a General Contractor or experience in construction projects
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project cost structures
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills for coordination with clients and subcontractors
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tender deadlines
