Job Description

As the Environment Superintendent, you will ensure all mining operational activities comply with environmental regulations, permits, standards, and corporate policies. You will lead the Enviro team, oversee environmental monitoring and mitigation programs, and support the implementation of ISO‑aligned management systems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing SOPs for environmental management.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental laws, permits, and corporate standards.
  • Leading daily briefings and guiding the Enviro team.
  • Preparing environmental management and monitoring plans.
  • Conducting audits, inspections, and contractor oversight.
  • Managing ambient air quality, noise, vibration, and soil testing with labs.
  • Ensuring timely environmental reporting (daily-annual) to management and authorities.
  • Leading incident investigations and emergency simulations.
  • Promoting EMS, ISO 14001 principles, and best environmental practices.
  • Overseeing signage, mitigation infrastructure, and monitoring equipment.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Environment Superintendent should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemistry, Forestry, or K3
  • Minimum 8 years experience in mining with 3 years in a similar supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, SMKP, and waste management.
  • POP certification (advantage), plus relevant environmental BNSP certifications (PPPA, PPPU, PLB3, POPAL).
  • Strong leadership, communication, integrity, and discipline.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
