Job Description

This is a lean organization where you will be expected to be hands-on. and able to work in a very diverse and international team. They key responsibilities are:Strategic Advisory

  • Designing and implementing innovative financial products and services (e.g., digital banking, micro-insurance, savings solutions) tailored to the targeted audience.
  • Providing actionable insights to financial institutions and regulators to strengthen inclusive policies and practices.
  • Using research and data analytics to identify market gaps and develop commercially viable solutions.
  • Overseeing potential multi-country projects, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and measurable outcomes.
  • Managing budgets, reporting, and operational excellence across advisory engagements.

Business Development & Partnerships

  • Building strategic relationships with financial service providers, development partners, and government agencies.
  • Identifying new opportunities and leading proposal development to secure advisory projects and funding.
  • Representing the organization in negotiations and partnership discussions at senior levels.



Advocacy & Thought Leadership

  • Driving policy advocacy campaigns to influence systemic change in financial inclusion.
  • Publishing research and insights to position the organization as a thought leader in inclusive finance.
  • Speak at industry events and forums to amplify impact and visibility.
  • Mentoring and developing team members, fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation.

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have experience in managing Indonesia. If you have experience in other SEA countries, you have to possess working experience and in-depth understanding of Indonesian market, and willing to relocate to Indonesia since Indonesia is a major location for this client. Other key requirement includes strong communication and negotiation in English, and:

  • At least 12-15+ years of experience in management consulting, financial services or fin-tech.
  • Proven track record in business development, strategic advisory, and stakeholder engagement at senior levels.
  • Strong understanding of digital financial services, MSME lending, and inclusive product design.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills; fluency in English required (regional languages a plus).
  • Willingness to travel extensively.
  • Proven ability to lead and implement strategic initiatives effectively.
  • The ability to analyse complex information and provide actionable insights.
  • A commitment to driving positive societal impact through their work.
  • Willingness to be hands on, and operate in a very lean team.
