About Our Client

We are currently partnering with an international coffee shop retail brand, who is currently looking for a competent Design and Construction Manager to help them in this time of growth.

Job Description

  • Lead and oversee store design projects from concept to completion.
  • Review and approve floor plans, renderings, and global construction maps to ensure alignment with brand standards.
  • Supervise site measurements for direct and overseas stores, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and finalizing design details.
  • Ensure construction drawing accuracy, assist in reviews, and provide technical guidance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement design revisions and improvements.
  • Address and resolve design-related customer complaints, proactively mitigating risks.
  • Develop and optimize design manuals and construction documentation, including international guidelines.
  • Standardize layout diagrams, enhance rendering quality, and maintain a 3D model library.
  • Conduct monthly reviews with engineering supervisors to identify and resolve common issues.
  • Host weekly design team meetings and monthly training sessions to enhance expertise.
  • Implement cost-saving strategies and process improvements, reporting results monthly.
  • Oversee Direct Store Design Units, ensuring efficiency and quality.
  • Plan and refine kitchen designs in collaboration with operations.
  • Manage project schedules to ensure timely execution.
  • Work closely with engineering teams for effective cross-functional collaboration.
  • Identify and resolve design-related challenges, providing innovative renovation solutions.
  • Conduct site visits to correct and enhance store designs.
  • Provide training and guidance to internal teams and third-party design firms.
  • Delegate and oversee store design tasks, ensuring accurate implementation.
  • Support other related company initiatives as needed.

The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field.
  • Strong background in retail or commercial space design with a proven track record of leading projects from concept to completion.
  • Expertise in floor plans, renderings, and construction drawings, ensuring accuracy and compliance with brand standards.
  • Ability to identify and resolve design-related challenges, implement renovations, and optimize layouts.
  • Strong knowledge of construction documentation, design manuals, and 3D model libraries.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin (HSK 4 or above) to communicate effectively with international stakeholders and vendors.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple design projects and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong leadership and training capabilities to guide teams, conduct reviews, and implement best practices.
