This role is responsible for developing and executing Modern Trade (MT) channel strategies to drive sustainable sales growth across assigned key accounts and retail partners. The position oversees sell‑in and sell‑out performance, manages MT‑focused promotional tools and personnel, and leads distribution expansion initiatives within the national market.

Job Description

Modern Trade Sales & Key Account Management

  • Develop and implement Modern Trade channel strategies for assigned MT retailers and national chains.
  • Expand account coverage by identifying and onboarding new MT partners.
  • Drive sell‑in targets through structured negotiation, strategic planning, and regular account engagement.
  • Oversee sell‑out activities, promotions, pricing execution, visibility programs, and in‑store initiatives.



Distribution & Channel Development

  • Build and execute a distribution expansion road map to strengthen product availability within MT networks.
  • Monitor channel performance and propose data‑backed improvements to drive market penetration.



Sell‑out Tools & Promoter Management

  • Manage and optimize sell‑out tools, including promotional programs, incentives, and marketing campaigns.
  • Provide direction and leadership to promoter teams to ensure high‑quality customer engagement.
  • Ensure promoters have the right structures, training, and competencies to meet business targets.



Cross‑Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal teams (logistics, customer service, supply chain, sales operations) to ensure smooth order execution, stock availability, and problem resolution.
  • Facilitate accurate forecasting and variant planning through data sharing and demand insights.



External Engagement

  • Maintain strong, trust‑based relationships with MT retailers, business partners, and store‑level staff.
  • Collaborate with partners on strategic plans to achieve shared business objectives.
  • Represent the brand during negotiations, issue resolution, and training activities.

The Successful Applicant

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Master's degree in Business or Marketing is an advantage.



Work Experience

  • 7-10 years of proven experience in sales or business development within multinational organizations.
  • Strong background in Modern Trade channel management is essential.
  • Experience in consumer electronics, domestic appliances, or FMCG is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of built‑in/home appliances business is a plus.



Skills & Competencies

  • Strong communication skills in English and Bahasa.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Strong analytical thinking combined with creative problem‑solving ability.
  • Leadership and coaching skills for managing promoter teams.
  • Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and multitasking capabilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, highly dynamic environment.
