Job Description

As a Deputy Project Manager, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting development of Project Execution Plans, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinating project kick‑off meetings, progress reviews, and technical discussions
  • Monitoring daily EPC activities across engineering, procurement, construction, installation, and commissioning
  • Managing project risks, issues, changes, and variation orders
  • Reviewing cost, progress, and schedule reports and preparing weekly and monthly management reports
  • Ensuring compliance with HSE policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements
  • Coordinating with internal functions (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, HSE, Finance, Operations)
  • Managing contractor and vendor performance against KPIs
  • Liaising with external stakeholders, including government authorities and head office
  • Supervising and guiding project team members

The Successful Applicant

A successful Deputy Project Manager should have:

  • Total 20 years experience with minimum 10 years' experience as in project management of EPC onshore oil & gas facilities
  • Experience managing projects with contract values of USD 25 million or above
  • Proven exposure to projects in remote locations
  • Strong understanding of project planning, cost control, procurement, and construction
  • Sound working knowledge of HSE standards and regulatory requirements
  • Experience dealing with contractors, vendors, and government authorities
  • Proficient in Bahasa Indonesia and English
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Primavera or MS Project is an advantage
