Job Description

As a Deputy GM Mining Operation, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and managing all aspects of mining operations to ensure targets are met effectively and efficiently.
  • Ensuring adherence to all safety, environmental, and legal regulations within mining operations.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimise resource allocation and project timelines.
  • Analysing operational data to identify areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Developing strategies to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the mining operations team to foster a high-performance culture.
  • Monitoring and reporting on key performance indicators to senior management.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Deputy GM Mining Operation should have:

  • A strong background in mining or a related field within the energy & natural resources sector.
  • Proven 15+ years experience in managing large-scale gold mining operations or similar projects.
  • Excellent knowledge of regulatory and environmental standards in mining operations.
