Job Description

As a Data Architect, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing data architectures tailored to insurance business needs.
  • Develop and maintain enterprise data models, data dictionaries, and metadata repositories.
  • Define data storage, integration, and access strategies, including cloud-based and on-premises solutions.
  • Collaborate with IT and business teams to ensure seamless data integration across various systems (policy management, claims, underwriting, customer experience, etc.).
  • Evaluate and recommend tools and technologies for data processing, storage, and analytics.
  • Define data stewardship roles and responsibilities across the organization.
  • Develop and implement data quality frameworks, monitoring mechanisms, and remediation plans.
  • Lead the development of a data governance roadmap, aligning with business priorities.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Data Architect should have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in data architecture, data governance, or related roles within the insurance, financial services, or highly regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, ETL processes, and big data technologies.
  • Familiarity with insurance domain concepts, including underwriting, claims, and actuarial data.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and data governance tools (Collibra, Informatica, Talend, etc.).
  • Experience implementing AI/ML-driven data analytics for insurance risk assessment and fraud detection
