As a D365 Consultant Retail Senior, you will play a pivotal role in implementing and optimising Dynamics 365 solutions tailored to the retail industry. This position requires a strong understanding of retail operations and technology integration to support the company's goals effectively.

As a Senior Consultant - Dynamics 365 F&O Retail, you will serve as a strategic advisor and functional expert responsible for leading end‑to‑end consulting, solution design, and implementation of global D365 F&O Retail and Omni‑Channel initiatives.

Job Description

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Consulting & Solution Ownership

  • Lead full‑cycle D365 F&O Retail and Omni‑Channel implementations from requirements analysis through post‑go‑live stabilization.
  • Own the end‑to‑end solution architecture ensuring alignment with enterprise IT strategy.
  • Conduct fit‑gap assessments and recommend best‑practice‑aligned solutions for D365 F&O Retail.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical specifications for architects and developers.



Retail Process Expertise

  • Partner across retail, e‑commerce, Omni‑Channel, and wholesale functions to deliver unified operational solutions.
  • Define, design, and document business processes using BPMN and internal standards.
  • Provide expert guidance on POS, store operations, pricing, inventory, merchandising, and customer journeys.



Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to global IT leadership and business stakeholders.
  • Lead workshops, drive requirements sessions, and strengthen user adoption through structured training.
  • Act as an escalation point for complex scenarios, ensuring timely and high‑quality resolution.



Solution Delivery & Technical Governance

  • Prepare architecture diagrams, functional specifications, and non‑functional requirements.
  • Review integrations, customizations, and code proposals for compliance and best‑practice alignment.
  • Ensure alignment with DevOps standards for continuous delivery and system reliability.
  • Mentor junior consultants and technical teams to build regional capability.



Continuous Improvement

  • Promote process improvement, solution maturity, and operational excellence across D365 platforms.
  • Lead initiatives to optimize system performance, enhance user experience, and streamline retail operations.

The Successful Applicant

Required QualificationsEducation

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).



Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in Dynamics 365 F&O Retail or AX 2012.
  • Minimum 3 full‑cycle implementations in a senior consultant or solution ownership role.
  • Strong background in global retail environments and cross‑functional project delivery.
  • Working experience with Agile methodologies (SCRUM, Kanban).



Technical & Functional Competencies

  • Deep expertise in D365 F&O Retail, including POS, commerce capabilities, pricing, inventory, and store operations.
  • Ability to translate complex business needs into well‑structured, scalable solutions.
  • Strong understanding of integrations, APIs, data flows, and custom solution governance.
  • Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, BPMN, and DevOps frameworks.



Leadership & Interpersonal Skills

  • Strong stakeholder‑management and consulting presence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Experienced in mentoring junior team members and driving cross‑functional alignment.
