Job Description

.As a General Manager of Indonesia, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing strategic plans to advance the organisation's mission in Indonesia.
  • Overseeing programme execution and ensuring alignment with the organisation's goals.
  • Building and maintaining partnerships with stakeholders, including government bodies and educational institutions.
  • Monitoring operational performance and ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Leading and mentoring a team to achieve organisational objectives effectively.
  • Managing budgets and ensuring financial sustainability of programmes.
  • Representing the organisation at key events and promoting its initiatives across the region.
  • Providing regular updates and reports to the global leadership team.
  • Growing the number users through acquisition and users' retention

The Successful Applicant

A successful candidate should have:

  • A strong educational background in business administration, management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leadership roles within technology sector, with experience in ed-tech or education is a plus.
  • Excellent strategic planning and organisational skills.
  • Experience in commercial, sales, business development, or general management, and the track record of growing a company from 0-1 stage.
  • The ability to build and maintain high-level stakeholder relationships.
  • Strong financial management and budgeting expertise.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A deep understanding of the education landscape in Indonesia, and ability to communicate well in both Bahasa and English.
  • At least 12-15 years of working experience in commercial or front-facing role.
  • Loyal: have track record of staying in a company for at least 5 years.
