About Our Client

Our client is a very well known Multinational Client of mine running in fluid power applications.

Job Description

  • Sales and Distribution Management:
    • Sell hoses and fluid power products.
    • Develop and manage relationships with distributors.
    • Drive sales to achieve and exceed revenue targets.
  • Market Development:
    • Create and implement go-to-market strategies for mining and other relevant sectors.
    • Conduct market segmentation and identify opportunities for growth.
    • Present business strategies and plans effectively to stakeholders.
  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead a small team
    • Provide solutions to challenges and drive business improvements.
    • Ensure team alignment with company goals and culture.
  • Reporting and Collaboration:
    • Report directly to a Regional Director based overseas
    • Work closely with the team and distributors to ensure effective execution of strategies.
  • Change Management:
    • Implement and manage change initiatives within the team and distributor network.
    • Adapt to and handle challenging environments effectively.

The Successful Applicant

  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years in a similar role with no frequent job changes.
    • Proven track record in sales and market development, specifically in fluid power applications.
    • Experience in developing and managing distributor networks.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Preferably a mechanical engineering background.
    • Strong understanding of fluid power components and troubleshooting.
    • Excellent numerical skills without micromanaging tendencies.
  • Industry Knowledge:
    • Strong industry segment knowledge, particularly in mining.
    • Ability to create and implement strategic plans.
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Strong presentation and communication skills.
    • Proven ability in change management and handling challenging environments.
    • Solution-oriented and proactive in driving business improvements.
