The COO will work closely with the CEO/Founder to implement the company's strategic vision and oversee daily operations focused on coconut oil production and the other on downstream coconut-based products. This role is ideal for a seasoned executive with a strong background in manufacturing, agribusiness, and export-oriented sales.

About Our Client

A leading agribusiness and manufacturing group with operations in Jakarta and East Indonesia region is seeking a dynamic COO to drive strategic execution and operational excellence across its coconut processing and value-added product divisions.

Job Description

As a COO, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing strategic sales plans to achieve business objectives.
  • Overseeing the performance and development of the sales department.
  • Collaborating with senior leadership to align sales strategies with overall company goals.
  • Identifying and capitalising on market opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders and partners.
  • Monitoring industry trends and competitor activities to stay ahead in the market.
  • Providing mentorship and guidance to the sales team to foster professional growth.

The Successful Applicant

  • Proven leadership in manufacturing, plantation assets, or commodity sales.
  • Having experience in creating road to market strategy for retail products targeting both GT and MT.
  • Experience in agriculture or coconut processing (cooking oil) is a strong advantage.
  • Familiarity with export markets, especially China and Southeast Asia.
  • Strong operational knowledge of production plants, especially outside Java.
  • Excellent relationship-building skills with suppliers, farmers, and labor teams.
  • Preference for local Indonesian candidates; expats fluent in Bahasa Indonesia may be considered.
