Job Description

  • Overseeing all legal and compliance operations to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements within the insurance industry.
  • Providing strategic advice on legal and compliance matters to senior management and stakeholders.
  • Monitoring and managing legal risks associated with the organisation's business activities.
  • Developing, implementing, and maintaining compliance policies and procedures.
  • Ensuring the organisation's operations align with national and international regulatory standards.
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies and handling legal disputes or compliance investigations.
  • Leading and mentoring a team of legal and compliance professionals.
  • Ensuring the organisation's contracts and agreements are legally sound and risk-free.

The Successful Applicant

  • A degree in Law or a related field from a recognised institution.
  • Strong knowledge of the insurance industry and its regulatory environment.
  • Experience in compliance management and corporate governance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage a team effectively.
  • Proven expertise in handling legal documents and negotiations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
