Ou client is an Indonesian mining company focused on the mineral mining industry, with core activities centered on nickel mining operations and now expanding to base metal, The company is considered a growing mining operator, emphasizing operational safety, production quality, and environmental sustainability.

Job Description

As a Base Metal Geologist, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting geological mapping and sampling to identify potential base metal deposits in Sumatera.
  • Analysing geological data to support the exploration and development of mineral resources.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and implement exploration programmes.
  • Preparing detailed reports and presentations on geological findings and resource estimations.
  • Ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements in all geological activities.
  • Utilising advanced software and tools for geological modelling and data interpretation.
  • Providing technical support and training to junior geologists and field staff.
  • Monitoring and optimising exploration budgets and timelines to achieve project goals.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Base Metal Geologist should have:

  • A degree in Geology or a related field from a recognised institution with at least 5 years experience of Base Metal Geologist.
  • Proven expertise in base metal exploration and geological analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of geological software and modelling tools.
  • Familiarity with the energy & natural resources sector, particularly in Sumatera.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication skills for reporting and teamwork purposes.
  • A proactive approach to project management and decision-making.
