Job Description



  • Transactional Support:
    • Assist in structuring, negotiating, and documenting a wide range of banking transactions, including syndicated loans, project finance, and mergers and acquisitions.
    • Conduct due diligence and research to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
    • Draft and review contracts, agreements, and other legal documents related to banking and finance transactions.


  • Client Interaction and Advice:
    • Collaborate closely with partners and senior associates to provide strategic advice and solutions to clients on complex banking and finance issues.
    • Communicate effectively with clients to understand their business objectives and provide tailored legal advice accordingly.
    • Attend meetings, conference calls, and negotiations with clients to represent their legal interests effectively.


  • Regulatory Compliance:
    • Stay updated on regulatory developments affecting the banking industry globally and advise clients on compliance issues.
    • Assist in preparing regulatory filings and submissions as required by relevant authorities.


  • Team Collaboration and Development:
    • Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including tax, corporate, and litigation departments to deliver integrated legal solutions to clients.
    • Mentor and supervise junior associates and legal assistants on various projects and transactions.



The Successful Applicant

  • Bachelor Degree in Law with at least 5 years of experience in reputable law firm within Banking Practice Group (General Banking, Financing, Lending, M&A)
  • Structured and concise communication skills with excellent English proficiency
  • Demonstrate client-centric approach by understanding client needs
  • Confident yet humble to learn and collaborative
