About Our Client
Our client is one of the Leading Consumer Goods company in the world. They boast to be one of the most recognisable brand in its industry. A well respected player with strong track record historically and an organisation that continues to reinvent their approach to the market. Consequently, they are looking to bring on board a dynamic COMMERCIAL FINANCE MANAGER - COMPETITORS & PRICING who can drive insights into pricing decision to drive growth and profitability. The role also expected to provide long-term strategic view over industry pricing.
The role is to drive the group's finance agenda into pricing and competitors areas. The role is expected to drive insights into pricing decision to drive growth and profitability. It's also expected to monitor and analysis competitors pricing decisions, market share movement, financial positions, industry trend and drive insights from competitors move.
The role also expected to provide long-term strategic view over industry pricing, profitability management & alignment, drive sustainable Gross Margin through ways of working & alignment and pricing.
The Successful Applicant
The role is based in Jakarta, Indonesia is responsible to:
(a) Updating competitors pricing activities in terms of timing and amount;
(b) Regular review of competitors intelligence (CI) based on pricing activities and other key competitors activities;
(c) Intense communication to key stakeholders (internal and regional teams) on competitors pricing and CI;
(d) Drive and deliver pricing plan for the year and plan strategic pricing plan for the upcoming years. Communicate and present the plan to key stakeholders;
(e) Drive, with SP&I team, to embed pricing insights into pricing decisions;
(f) Work closely with Planning & Reporting and Operation Finance teams to drive NTO and Gross Margin management and alignment;
(g) Provide data and analysis on industry trend and competitors positions for leadership teams;
(h) Working on ad-hoc pricing scenarios for NPIs and other ad-hoc request in relation to pricing.
What's on Offer
This role is based in Indonesia and as a result of the requirements and we are ideally looking for Indonesian nationals. Fluency in Bahasa, strong written and spoken English is a must. The successful individual must also have excellent analytic skills.
Other key requirements include:
(a) 8 - 12 years total working experience in finance preferably in the areas of planning & reporting, budgeting and business partnering with sales and marketing team;
(b) Deep understanding of financial statements, financial modelling and costs analysis;
(c) Understand/exposure of product/portfolio pricing strategy and decision;
(d) Understand/exposure of competitor analysis through financial statements and other sources of information (market share, competitor pricing and product costing);
(e) Understand of pricing insight studies. Have experience to use insight studies to make business recommendation is an advantage;
(f) Knowledge of cigarette pricing dynamic and Indonesia excise structure is an advantage.
Managerial & Interpersonal Skills
(a) Proactively communicate within Finance function to drive alignment;
(b) Engage and work together with marketing team in particular SP&I;
(c) Able to build and sustain networks cross-functional drive business and finance teams;
(d) Presentation skills and strong analytic skills;
(e) Comfortable in challenging business and finance teams.
